4 Academicians from Our Department Included in the World's Most Influential Scientists List

In the "World's Most Influential Scientists" list prepared by Stanford University, our professor Prof. Dr. Bilal ALATAŞ from the Department of Software Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering entered the "career-long" list, while our professors Prof. Dr. Bilal ALATAŞ, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih ÖZYURT, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammed TALO and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih DEMİR were included in the 2023 "last year" list.

Stanford University scientist Prof. With the contributions of John P. A. Ioannidis, the list of the most cited academics in the world in September 2024 was announced in two separate formats, “career-long” and “last year”, in the Elsevier database. Scientists were classified into 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields according to the standard Science-Metrix classification. Field and subfield-specific percentiles were also created for all scientists with at least 5 articles. Scopus data provided by Elsevier through ICSR Lab was used in this study.

While the career-long data is updated until the end of 2023, the “last year” data relates to citations in the 2023 calendar year. Selection is based on the top 100,000 scientists by c-score (with and without self-citations) or 2% or better percentile ranking in the subfield.

In Turkey, 1518 research scientists were entitled to enter the "last year" list, and 1172 research scientists were entitled to enter the "career-long" list.
