Applied Engineering Education Commission

 

Purpose:

The Applied Engineering Education Committee carries out activities to ensure the effective implementation of practical learning components within the Software Engineering undergraduate program—such as internships, projects, laboratory applications, and industry collaborations—and to enhance students’ professional competencies and workplace readiness in line with sector expectations.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Management and Enhancement of Internship Processes

• Define and regularly update the rules and procedures of compulsory internship practices.
• Provide guidance to students throughout the internship placement process.
• Monitor the evaluation, quality assurance, and archiving of internship reports.
• Analyze employer and student feedback regarding internship performance and develop improvement recommendations.

Industry–University Collaboration

• Strengthen cooperation with software companies, technopark firms, and relevant organizations to support practice-based education and sector-driven learning opportunities.

Performance Monitoring and Evaluation

• Collect and analyze data related to practical training processes and prepare improvement-oriented reports.
• Assess employer satisfaction, project outcomes, and internship performance using standardized quality criteria.

Reporting

• Prepare periodic reports regarding committee activities and present them to the departmental board.
• Develop improvement plans targeting practical components of the undergraduate curriculum.
