MÜDEK Program Commission

 

Purpose:

The MÜDEK Program Committee of the Department of Software Engineering ensures the quality of education and training activities carried out within the department, coordinates continuous improvement processes, and works to maintain compliance with national and international accreditation standards.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement

• Define, revise, and align the program learning outcomes (PLOs) with the faculty and university policies.
• Monitor the mapping and consistency between program learning outcomes and course learning outcomes.
• Plan and implement continuous improvement activities based on student, alumni, and employer feedback.

Assessment, Evaluation, and Data Analysis

• Oversee the analysis of course evaluations, student performance indicators, satisfaction surveys, and other assessment results.
• Ensure the appropriateness of assessment and evaluation methods in line with program learning outcomes.
• Develop corrective and preventive actions based on feedback and performance findings.

Accreditation Process Management

• Prepare and maintain required reports, evidence documents, and statistical data for MÜDEK and similar quality accreditation bodies.
• Coordinate the preparation of criterion-based self-evaluation reports.
• Ensure coordination and readiness of the entire department during external evaluation visits.

Documentation and Archiving

• Systematically archive course information packages, syllabi, assessment reports, and quality assurance records.
• Monitor and document committee activities, reports, and evidence materials.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

• Manage mechanisms that capture feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide regular updates to the departmental board, offer improvement recommendations, and follow up on the implementation of decisions.

Capacity Building and Academic Support

• Provide guidance to academic staff on quality assurance processes, assessment methods, and outcome alignment.
• Support the integration of quality standards in newly proposed courses and curriculum modifications.

Reporting

• Prepare annual or semester-based MÜDEK activity reports and present them to the departmental board.
• Develop and track improvement actions to enhance effectiveness and compliance.
