Purpose:

The Academic Incentive Preliminary Review Committee is responsible for conducting a preliminary review of applications for academic incentive grants submitted by faculty members in the Software Engineering department in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, and guidelines, and for determining the eligibility of applications to be forwarded to the university incentive committee.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Reviewing Application Files:

• Review the activity documents, scoring tables, and other supporting documents submitted by faculty members applying for academic incentive grants.
• Check whether the documents are complete, consistent, and prepared in accordance with the procedures.

Regulatory Compliance Check:

• Evaluate whether applications comply with the “Academic Incentive Grant Regulation” and relevant university guidelines.
• Follow regulatory changes and reflect them correctly in the evaluation process.

Classification of Activity Types:

• Ensure that the publications, presentations, projects, consultancy, patents, awards, artistic activities, etc. submitted by teaching staff are classified according to the correct activity category.
• Check that each activity complies with the scope and criteria defined in the regulation.

Scoring and Preliminary Evaluation:

• Conduct a preliminary evaluation of the activities included in the application according to the scoring criteria.
• Approve eligible applications for submission to the university incentive commission with a reasoned evaluation.

Confidentiality and Impartiality:

• Act in accordance with the principles of equality, impartiality, and confidentiality in all evaluation processes.

Reporting to the Higher Commission:

• Forward applications that have completed the preliminary review process to the university incentive commission, along with a reasoned report.
